Workplace Giving for Employees

Workplace giving is a simple and effective way for employees to donate to FoAWC on a regular basis. If you choose to support FoAWC through a workplace giving program, your employer will deduct your specified donation from each pay and then forward your donation directly to FoAWC, along with any donations made by other staff at your workplace.

What are the benefits of workplace giving programs?

  • All donations to FoAWC through workplace giving are tax deductible.
  • Your employer may reduce the amount of tax that is taken out of your pay in recognition of your donation.
  • FoAWC receives regular income but does not have to issue individual receipts for each donation. This saves time and money on administration so that 100 per cent of your donation goes directly to conservation.

Workplace Giving for Employers

To set up a formal workplace giving program in your organisation to support FoAWC, please follow the steps below:

  • Identify a group of staff members who are interested in the environment and who may wish to support AWC. We can assist by providing promotional literature on FoAWC and visiting your workplace to give a presentation on our work.
  • Each staff member who wishes to make a regular donation to AWC signs a letter authorising the payroll office to deduct a specified amount from each pay. FoAWC can provide a pro forma letter. The amount deducted will be sent by the payroll office directly to AWC.
  • FoAWC will liaise closely with your payroll office to assist in the establishment of the giving program.
